Our youngest pupils pulled on their wellies this week for a nature walk around the school grounds. Reception spotted budding daffodils, busy bees and the first blossom on the cherry tree, then returned to class to paint what they had seen.
The children have started their own windowsill garden, planting cress and sunflower seeds that they will measure and care for over the coming weeks. Miss Hughes said the class had wonderful questions about how plants grow. A lovely, hands-on start to our spring topic!
